The Board of Directors of the OPAZ Holds Its Fourth Meeting for 2024

The Board of Directors of the Public Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones held its fourth meeting for 2024, chaired by His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Ali bin Masoud Al Sunaidy, Chairman of the Board, with the attendance of esteemed members of the council.
During the meeting, the board approved incentives for rental values in the Al Mazyunah Free Zone and renewed the package of incentives currently in place in the Al Buraimi Industrial City. The board also approved allocating 1% of the annual total production of mining and quarrying companies operating within the authority’s jurisdiction to contribute to local community development, starting in the Special Economic Zone at Duqm.
Additionally, the board agreed for the Khazaen Economic City to implement service fees as stipulated by Decision No. 63/2023, in parallel with other regions under the authority's supervision.
The meeting included discussions on various topics related to the economic zones, free zones, and industrial cities under the authority’s oversight. The council reviewed the semi-annual report on the authority’s activities for 2024, revealing that investments in these areas reached 20.1 billion Omani Rials.
