OPAZ organizes the training program with the aim to create a second line of leaders
The General Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones (OPAZ) organized the "Leaders" training program to qualify department heads and improve their skills and experience by providing them with scientific knowledge and professional abilities to manage different administrative divisions.
The Authority believes that it is critical to qualify its professional cadres and create a welcoming and innovative work environment, which is why it has organized this three-month professional training program. The aim of the program is to give department heads the fundamental skills they need to deal with both the internal and external work environment and conditions so they can carry out their tasks with ease. In addition to actively participating and improving their input into the decision-making process.
According to Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Rawahi, Head of Training and Development at OPAZ Human Resources Department, the program, which includes thirty department heads, aims to develop and train a second generation of professional leaders in the Authority's departments and various sectors. It is implemented in phases based on a number of fundamental principles and axes using expert training programs and exercises in problem solving, communication, leadership, creative management, and the application of artificial intelligence tools to job tasks. It also includes operational and strategic planning, coaching abilities, and other relevant skills.
The training program, he continued, aims to provide participants with integrated skills in a variety of administrative processes, such as operational and strategic planning, problem-solving innovation and creativity, and administrative decision-making. It also seeks to familiarize participants with the finest contemporary leadership practices and the most significant leadership features, strategies, and theories. In order to ensure that theoretical and applied knowledge are compatible and help the training program accomplish its goals, the program consists of a series of practical exercises as well as group projects.
