An introductory meeting for businessmen and investors in Al Batinah South Governorate

The Public Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones (OPAZ), in cooperation with Al Batinah South Governor's Office and the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI), organized an introductory meeting for businessmen and investors with the aim of fostering cooperation and development as well as reviewing investment opportunities and economic projects in the Governorate of Al Batinah South.

The meeting was attended by His Excellency Eng. Ahmed bin Hassan Al Deeb, OPAZ Deputy Chairman, His Excellency Eng. Masoud bin Saeed Al Hashimi, Governor of South Al Batinah, Eng Hamoud bin Salim al Saadi, Chairman, OCCI branch in South Batinah, and a number of businessmen and investors in the governorate.

The introductory meeting featured a visual presentation on OPAZ, along with information on the benefits of the connected zones, the most well-known projects that the zones have hosted, and how simple it is to start a business using unified electronic services. The economic aspects of the Governorate of Al Batinah South were examined, along with investment potential and the leading industries in each zone.

Additionally, Khazaen Economic City gave a visual presentation in which it reviewed the project's overview. This is the first integrated economic zone of its kind, working with Asyad Group, consisting of two free zones that are partnered with the public and private sectors and overseen by OPAZ.

The benefits of the zone in terms of competitiveness and relativeness were covered during the presentation, along with how it draws investments and executes top-notch projects to help national cadres get employment opportunities.

It is notable that the Authority is holding these meetings as part of its attempts to interact with businessmen, providing them with a forum to share ideas and expertise as well as to identify the obstacles they face in the governorate's commercial sector. They are viewed as a means of improving interactions and communication between officials and investors, which helps to boost investment, realize shared benefits, and create favorable relationships that improve communication and foster trust.
