OPAZ showcases its latest electronic services for investors at Comex 2024

The Public Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones (OPAZ) will participate in COMEX Global Technology Show 2024 from 27 to 30 May 2024 at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Center. The show is a scientific platform that will  feature the latest digital breakthroughs from companies in this field as well as the most significant e-services provided by public and private institutions.

OPAZ will have a special booth at COMEX 2024 to showcase its diverse experiences and projects in various fields, including smart cities, digital transformation, and evaluating many electronic services. OPAZ aims, during its participation, to present a number of outstanding projects and applications in the field of artificial intelligence. A number of OPAZ specialists will be available at its booth to demonstrate an array of electronic services, including the Omap platform, the digital portal for integrated geographical maps that include all-inclusive data of masterplans for the special economic zones, free zones, and industrial cities overseen by OPAZ, in addition to reviewing the advantages of the Enjazat system, which is an electronic platform that tracks the stages of implementation of all projects—strategic, operational, and event—that have been incorporated into the Authority's annual work plan. In addition to the Internet of Things project, which is being implemented in the network control rooms at OPAZ building and the Centralised Compliance System “Eltizam”, which will be launched at COMEX 2023, in addition to artificial intelligence and drone experiments.

Visitors and participants passing by OPAZ booth can view the different initiatives and achievements in the digital transformation, artificial intelligence and the use of 3D printing technology projects of OPAZ.

It is worth noting that the OPAZ has won the award for 3D printing technology at COMEX Technology Awards 2023, for using 3D printing technology to build a commercial cafe and its annexes, as well as a residential unit with its annexes in the Fishermen Village in the tourist area of the Special Economic Zone at Duqm. This award is a testament to the Authority's efforts towards digital transformation through the creation of electronic programs and applications and the adoption of artificial intelligence technologies with the aim of streamlining procedures and offering investors quick, secure, and all-encompassing services. It also represents the pinnacle of the Authority's excellence in providing leading digital services in the investment sector and serving investors.

OPAZ has also recently won the Government Achievements Award at the Arab Digital Government Award 2023. This award is granted to Arab government entities that are distinguished for achieving innovative and effective digital applications and solutions to improve the quality of government services, increase beneficiary satisfaction, and enhance transparency.
